I remember you, I remember us...

I remember you, I remember us...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

July poetry number nine.

"
I remember you, I remember us..
1- Once we had sleepless nights.
Once we needed conversation and I needed to hear your voice.
Once we looked deeply in each other eyes.
Confessed love.
I remember you, I remember us.
Maybe love is just myth and tale?
2- She was aloof to my charm.
She loved the sea and the song of the sea more than me.
She was my blushing beauty who stole my heart and my dreams.
She told me, love is a tall-tell spins by over bearing poets.
Love can be forgotten and the sea.
Always waiting for me and so kind to me.
She sings the song of the earth, the free sea and the brave people who danced with her.
The Pacific always welcome us back dear poet with open arms.
She accept us as-is.
She won't break your heart my friend.

2-Love can be forgotten; but she sees acceptance in poet's love... so kind; and the pacific always welcomes us back; she accepts the poet's love...she is a good person... who loves to sing..."she won't break your heart"

Lovely! those that love the sea will always return to the sea, they never take us with but will return to us but they will always love the sea more. You expressed that very well here.

Thank you dear Julie for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
Those night time conversations are very comforting and meaningful and, with it comes the pillow talk as well. Love is not a myth once one finds the right person. The Pacific is always there and can be comforting when there is no lover to comfort. Interesting read Mr. C. Thank you for sharing!

You’re welcome.
Sleepless nights spent making love and just talking all night...those are the good kind.

Your middle part of this poem reminds me so much of the Looking Glass song Brandy.
This poem just reminds me of past loves...
thanks Coyote.
