By the sea..A Poem by Coyote PoetryJune poetry number twenty-three.By the sea... I told her, I want little. When I return home to you. Please meet me at the Monterey pier and please wear your dancing shoes. I need a dance with the most beautiful woman, the most kind woman in my world, near the sea. She whispered on the phone to me. Dearest Johnnie, the Pacific ocean and me, shall be waiting for you at the pier. The sea song will be playing for us. I love you so. Please come to me quickly. I told her. I am near and thank you my darling, for being so kind to a wandering soldier. She saw me walking toward her and she ran to me. She wrapped her arms around me she gave me many kisses. She smiled and she told me. Let's dance away yesterday. Let's dance into tonight with joy and laughter. You have found me and I have found you. We have the music of the sea and I won't release you this time. Coyote
