Maybe I, maybe you...

Maybe I, maybe you...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

June poetry number seven.. For my kind muse dear Lisa...

"
Maybe I, maybe you.
Maybe it was the sea or maybe it was the stars?
Maybe we were the fortunate ones,
we were brave in the dance of love.
I kissed her neck, I kissed her ears and I whispered.
Maybe I, maybe you.
Maybe we were seeking the sacred kiss,
maybe we needed someone to make us laugh,
maybe we needed someone to make us smile.
 I whispered my noble lady.
Why are you so kind to me?
Are you the brave one my dear Bella Mia?
Beautiful Bella Mia released me and she took off her shoes.
She ran to the moving sea and
she did a slow twirl of movements.
Her feet being kissed by the Pacific ocean.
I went to her and I kissed her face,
I kissed her lips and we waltzed for the Goddess of the sea,
the Goddess of the moon.
She told me. The folly of love is.
One day we shall forget me. Johnnie, will forget me?
I told her. My sweet Bella Mia, my beloved.
You will be my sweetest memory and my lasting wish.
I shall never forget the taste of your pale skin,
I shall never forget the softness of your ginger hair
and I will never forget your gift of your kindness.
 You saved me from myself.
You are my evening blessing and my morning miracle.
She laughed at my words and she asked.
Will I be your Hemingway Agnes or your Dante's Beatrice?
Will I leave a dusty memory of love, that cannot be?
I told her.
We have tonight, we have tomorrow dear Bella Mia.
We must adore the good days
and make them last forever.
 When love kiss is near,
when the sweet voice of love words are spoken.
We must hold on, my dear lady of the sea.

I loved this one. Reminded me of a few of my loves while I was in the Navy. There was one that I felt something so deep, I still think about her to this day. That was 29 years ago. This poem was so good, I snapped back to that time. Anyway, great work! CD

Very romantic, and achingly beautiful! The tenderness of real love, expressed in truly poetic terms! Anyone who has ever loved cannot fail to love this poem!

one of the most romantic pieces I have read here at WC....
love the bare feet splashing on the shore...frolicking and those kisses...yes...I was hearing "Cast your Fate to the Wind" in the background as I was reading this.

Thank you Jacob. I appreciate the comment my friend.
Beautiful!!!! I love this poem. Sometimes love is just a moment that becomes a memory forever. Living in the present we enjoy who we are with and, when there is strong chemistry the passions abound and moments to treasure are left behind. Lovely read dear Coyote. Temp

Wow, I really loved this so so much...dearest Coyote... such a special loving poem...Just perfect in every way..Beginning to end.. Like a short story..
There are so many lines and words I love.. I had to go back and reread this several times..
It is easy to get lost in your beautiful words...your thoughts moves smoothly and take me along with them... They sing off the page and into my heart.
Thank you for mentioning me as your muse.. how very delightful...
