Last day of April, my friend. My Michigan feeling the Spring warm day kiss finally. I am listening to beautiful Nightbirde songs and the grandchildren still sleeping. I need to listen to dear Jane (Nightbirde). Keeps me balance. On Thursday I went with my eight year old grandson to his school function. He picked me to be his favorite person and I was honored.
I know I am okay. Bills are pay, children and grandchildren are healthy and strong. I have good health. Tomorrow is the first day of May. Time for the days of Spring to bless us.
I went to Lake St. Clair and I told her. Please Goddess of the lake. Please help my world. Please help the people in Ukraine, please teach our leaders how to stop wars, not support them. Please help the people in need. Old world need more concern, more kindness. Once I served, for a great President. President Clinton send my unit in the Army to Africa three times on water, food and medicine missions. He showed Africa. We were willing to help them. Create friendship and we tried to help.
I am a old man now and I have learn. I had a good life. Now I must teach my children, my grandchildren. Stay strong, stay focus and seek great dreams. Don't allow the world to kill your dreams.
This morning. I am listening to Nightbirde and I am thankful.
'Don' t allow the world to kill your dreams. As you age and have your own children, grandchildren and possibly great grandchildren, you want the best for them. You see the world through a different perspective, you see it focused on the well being of those you love. You do not see it through the eyes of politicians and greed. Enjoy your family and your music Coyote. Loved ones are precious. With the world in the state it is, we have to make the most of our days. We don't know what is round the corner.

You are right dear Chris and thank you for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
Thus sounds like a person who is thankful for their life aiming to instill the same happiness in their grand children/the future generation. The world may be a dark unforgiving place, but you just remain thankful for what you have and make your own light.

such strong message from one destined to die so young
nature nudges us ... we are not immortal
all things pass .. even the horrid nature of war
it is healthy to write as we are in this moment so short
much can happen in 60 seconds or 600 years
it's ok

dearest John... your Poem is very well written. We need to strengthen our Policies and Vote to keep our Constitution and all the documents that made our Nation Great. Thank you John for your Service and for your Prayers for Ukraine and the World. Blessings, Pat
Old age doesn't have that many compensations in the world of today, but some remain. It sounds as though your current state is one of satisfaction, to the point where you can feel genuine concern for those in a troubled foreign land. Also, there is the opportunity to positively affect a younger generation. Being old ain't all bad.
