Darkness...A Poem by Coyote PoetryApril poetry number eleven. Darkness.. Life become less needful. Men with dead eyes learn to love the strip clubs, the drink and the war. Darkness overtake men who had learn love is bitter, life is a pain in the a*s. Better to celebrate every new day. One hopeful man who had saw the worst of life. Can you teach him laughter again? The children of war. Can they be children? I saw the children in Africa. Their eyes, cold. They carried machine guns and they never knew the joy of youth. Born in war, die in war. Now new wars, now new children will learn. War is life. Today a old soldiers prayed for peace. So many homeless people and destroyed cities. How do you tell a children? We must run and take what you need only. Soldiers know. The poor, the women, the old people and children pay for the sins of war. I bury thousands in mass graves in Africa. I prayed they found a better place. War, my friend. The worst sin of men. Darkness is covering our world. War is alive and well. Where are the peacemakers? I pray for better days. I pray I will know one day of peace. Coyote
