Darkness...

Darkness...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

                    Darkness..
Life become less needful. Men with dead eyes learn to love the strip clubs, the drink and the war. Darkness overtake men who had learn love is bitter, life is a pain in the a*s. Better to celebrate every new day.
One hopeful man who had saw the worst of life. Can you teach him laughter again?
The children of war. Can they be children? I saw the children in Africa. Their eyes, cold. They carried machine guns and they never knew the joy of youth. Born in war, die in war.
Now new wars, now new children will learn. War is life. Today a old soldiers prayed for peace. So many homeless people and destroyed cities. How do you tell a children? We must run and take what you need only.
Soldiers know. The poor, the women, the old people and children pay for the sins of war.
I bury thousands in mass graves in Africa. I prayed they found a better place. War, my friend. The worst sin of men.
Darkness is covering our world. War is alive and well. Where are the peacemakers? I pray for better days. I pray I will know one day of peace.

that is an interesting concept but I bet true.
The men with the dead eyes....different areas of life appear before them....but they don't notice what they are looking at...they are just lifeless to absorb and appreciate....
there is nothing left to make the eyes sparkle...or the heart.

hellos, Cayote I love your work. I have a similar writing, but in story, trying to get online, with Cafe, but it doesn't go through. It's sad, but you got to understand the undelying reasons. It's more than you think. Children of Africa are stolen, and mindbongled. That's why, honey ---Knighngale

yes i'm with you coyote, where are they ?
methinks that men have too much time on their hands & not enough time distractions such as hobbies, games, intellectual pursuits or sports to keep their minds off greed, land grab or power.
funny I just wrote a letter to the general secretary of NATO complaining of the lack of assertive decisions to stop the ukrane/russia war.

Coyote, this was so sad and true! War everywhere, and it to me doesn't accomplish anything, but people dying, Innocent people!

My pleasure!
History seems to repeat itself over and over again. Will we ever learn? The evils in this world do seem to be taking over. How many people truly suffer in this life… it’s completely overwhelming. Where are the peacemakers? Here…we are the peacemakers. Those that can see the injustice and call out evil. We are the ones that must maintain hope. We are the ones that must give voice and not turn away. Everyone has an ability to make an impact… big or small. Evil will be judged one day. We need to hold up that light, even higher these days. I pray for peace. I pray I can make a difference before I leave this life. A very thought provoking write.
