                                                       A butterfly wish...

White lies, black lies. Somehow we forgot who we were. Once we believed we had a eternal love that would outlast time. In the loneliness of too many quiet nights. We forgot, love made us great and now I sit by the Lake St. Clair and I told her.

I am sorry my kind lady, I am so sorry my sweet love. I have turn so damn cold and I cannot feel anything no-more. Damn life, damn wars had stolen my kindness, my warmth. I try to tell you. You were my sweetest days and I am to blame. The blackness of life had stole my happiness and my wishes.

I love the Lake St. Clair and I am surrounded by milk weed and lavender. A beautiful monarch rested on my shoulder and remembered the tales I told my grandchildren. If a butterfly touches you. You can make a wish.

I watched the butterfly fly away, dancing with the wind. I told the sun, the clouds and the moving water. Please give me the strength to be kind, to be brave again.

If a butterfly touches you, you can make a wish. What a beautiful thought. It doesn't happen often, they are too busy flitting around my garden in summer. I do recall one Cabbage White though, landing on my purple shirt. Must have thought I was a flower. Iove your butterfly wish, it sounds so gentle. Kindness is such an admirabke quality, we all need much more. Thank you Coyote. Enjoy your grandchildren.

Thank you for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
Lovely imagery woven in this Coyote...butterflies are a magical visitor, symbolising change and living life...that blended with the aspects of life here is beautifully portrayed, a lovely balance my friend :)

Thank you my kind friend. I agree. We need a kinder world.
So beautifully penned ..love that if
a butterfly touches you make a wish
we all need to find our strength and
kindness once again in this messed
up world.filled with hate and venom
that steals the marrow of our bones
I like the way you wrote this one

Nice Work John
