I remember...

I remember...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

"
I remember......

1- We touched like lovers once. We needed to hold hands like lovers do. Softly I held your hands and our fingers dance into a perfect waltz. Interlacing, moving and yearning more.

2-  Another life, another place. If I knew. I would of been kinder. Another time, another chance. I would of told you. You were my beautiful rose and I love you so. I didn't know. The kindness of love near was a miracle and a blessing. We can touch when the blue moon is above us and the gods are on our side.

3-  Once we were drunk in love and our kisses so warm and so sweet. We would find virgin wild flowers fields and we would dance with the wildflowers. The moon would smile and the stars would dance with us. I told you with the blue moon above us. You are my lasting sweet memory and I love you so.

The common theme really is love, but I also felt that this poem was full of the color blue, if that makes any sense! I especially love the third stanza, but the other two are just as beautiful, and I noted the second one feels a bit regretful, maybe mourning the love. The descriptions and areas you depict are gorgeous and sound like the perfect place to be with your favorite person.

Stanza 2 seems to reflect regret over sins of omission. It's a fruitless pastime. We can only act on the information that seems true to us at any given time. That's one reason I like Piaf's "No Regrets."

Hello my dear friend. I agree and thank you for reading and the comment.
This sounds like a beautiful summer romance that dances with wild uninhibited like be that waltzes with delight under a warm night bathed with the moon’s glow.

Oh looking back we often wish we would have done things differently and think maybe this could have been…

The honesty and tale of a love that has set beneath the sun many lifetimes ago.

Old memories are amazing
Three lovely memories, all a bit different but there is a common theme: LOVE…. I like the way you divided it into sections and times of this entirety… there is much to remember and your writing is quite memorable too my friend.
Best

Something I would love to do at least once in my lifetime. The settings are perfect. Excellent poem, Coyote.

I like to something many more times my friend. Hello and thank you for reading and the comment.
So romantic are your words of past romance. Holding hands, dancing in fields of wild flowers under the light of moon and stars. The setting is perfect. What wonderful memories Coyote. Thank you for sharing.
