Maybe I’m where I’m suppose to be and maybe I’m not. Maybe I didn’t drink enough. Those are strong lines.

Who knows where exactly we are suppose to be?! I think only God knows that. We can ponder it over and over again and many times we never com up with an answer to that particular question. Sometimes we can feel it in our bones and know but often times we do not.

I think there are times when we drink too much and then there are time we have not. That is another paradox. One in which is different for each person and each situation specifically.

Amazing spoken word poetry you have here dear friend.

Hello dear Tina. I appreciate the kind words.
Something is wrong with all of us.
I like to listen to poetry readings, and I enjoyed this one, too.
You have met Bukowski - that's quite something.
I think we can agree on one thing: having poetry in our lives is a blessing.

Amazing poem and speaks true to the heart of writing. We suffer for our art, whether debt is paid fast or long lasting we will pay our dues. And for our anguish most times we are given to profound and enlightened thought. It is all we will ever leave behind, for those to follow after. Thank you, CP, for this remarkable poem.

This was a pleasant surprise to encounter. From my brief time on the cafe, I have come to understand that you are one of the most passionate poets on this site; one who truly gives a part of yourself to the craft and the written word, without prejudice or untruths. So, it was wonderful to hear your words here, the pauses and expression and the creativity in your poem and it's format. It's a privilege to listen to and read your words, dear Coyote. May your love for the poetry always endure. 💛

Thank you Zaliodir. I appreciate the kind words.
To see and hear you means more than a billion words, John. Who you are is in every word, sincerely and emotionally to the nth degree. Your glances at the camera beckoned me nearer. After so many years... I know you more.. Now, will raise a glass, applaud then - wipe my tears away.

Hey, Coyote! :)
That was beautiful. Maybe you didn't drink enough... Right now there's an empty seat at a tiki bar somewhere down in the keys, with kind women and napkins to write poems on.
