One Angel knows my name...

One Angel knows my name...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

For Rory. A beautiful woman in heaven.

"
"Three fingers of Tequila
One finger for the cancer,
one finger for the poison they send pouring through your vein
one finger for the preacher cause I don't believe the Jesus that who loved so much,
would put  you through so much pain."
                                                   One Angel knows my name.
I fell in love with a beautiful lady who could sing like a angel. A beautiful mama with the eyes of hope and she loved God. I have lost and found God often in my life. I didn't understand how God could take her and what life can be? Only take the kind and good in heart.
I watch a powerful woman become weaker and I burn sage and I prayed for her. Please God give Joey Feek more days with us. I would give some of my time to keep her alive. She was kind to a stranger. Always thanking me for loving her songs and her.
I watched her with many people who loved her from afar. My heart broke when the cancer stole her from my world. I cried for a kind woman who blessed our world with a beautiful smile, hope and she loved God.
I was pissed-off at the cancer, I was pissed off she had to suffer and I hope. She is waiting for Rory and the baby in heaven. Deep and hidden in my heart. I know a Angel knows my name and I hope one day. To be able to sit near her and hear her sing again. I would thank her for making my world more beautiful and wonderful.
I remember you dear Joey. The world is less without you.

This is a beautiful story and great tribute to this lady stolen away by cancer. It is always hard to find meaning in these events that seem unfair. Of course we all have to die and there is never a good time.
Thanks for sharing this tale Coyote.
Take care.

An elegy for a beloved entertainer here. The problem of apparent evil has stumped philosophers for centuries. How can a wise, merciful and loving God cut short the life of one who gave so much to humanity, while permitting serial killers and dictators to get their threescore and ten? I don't know, but the amount of other things I also don't know stretches on to infinity. The only thing I do know is I will keep putting one foot before the other and reading "Invictus."

Thank you Carlos. Few people can touch our heart and mind with their song. She was a special woman.
Cancer, just eating away till it can eat no more, lasting months or even years till it does it darnedest.
This is the journey no human should have to bear, yet they do to the bitter end.

Yes they do my friend. A terrible way to fall to death. Thank you for reading and the comment.
a moving tribute to someone you loved Coyote Man .. written from the heart and i feel it as i read. its raw and vulnerable to confess our honest feelings toward God, our Creator in such a way .. i think He can take it when we say things anger and bewilder us. But its the Faith behind the feelings that counts ... tho it gets ignored by the overwhelming feelings. if the Faith were not there .. we wouldn't reach out in conversation with God, our Lord Jesus .. cancer takes .. i imagine there are few who have lived long who have not been touched by it's icy fingers .. i especially am blessed by the way you point beyond the grave as our real goal ... where we may be reunited ... we shall see eh!? consider a small edit in this line "I watch a powerful woman because weaker... " pretty sure you mean become instead of because ;) you capture the deep pain involved in the "cure" as well .. poison in our veins ... i lost my wife and mother of our children to a rare and particularly nasty form of cancer .. she passed just 6 weeks after she was diagnosed and started treatment .. she was 30 years old my friend .. so .. i feel you ...peace and joy and love

Thank you for the help and thank you for reading. All of us will know the pain of cancer.
Such a sad yet somehow beautiful poem, each phrase blessing that dear woman, her voice, her agonies and life. No more to add, but thank you for posting this emotionally balanced poem.
