Before hate and disappointment overtake us.” "...No guarantees except we have tonight and tomorrow. One day at a time. Real love takes a lifetime." ------------------------------------------- A lesson I learned the hard way. But I love how you reminded me it's a very nice poem. Thank you for sharing. This is one of the best you've written, Coyote. There's so much truth in your words and how you tell them. Great poem.

The last two stanzas could stand alone as a poem. The lovers live in the moment, for that is all that ever is. "Let's survive the night and see where we are standing in the morning." What more can any of us do?

This was so darn good before, I would not have believed it could have been made any better .. but .. it has .. and on so many different levels ... a near perfect page sir, with everything I look for and have grown accustomed to finding under your name ... amazing quotes too, and an extra helping of my hero, Mr. L.N. Cohen This has just got to be another Nev favourite........................ ... Neville Posted 3 Years Ago1 of 1 people found this review constructive. |

Tender moments of bliss with a love. You create a wonderfully sweet ambience here with the soft music of Cohen playing along. This is what memories are built from, such romance here Coyote.

Oh the memories sweet lovers can leave upon our minds allowing us to drift for a bit on a lonely night into the sweet arms of passion once again. I am in the beginning of a new adventure. I know this shall not be a lifetime love but oh this younger guy makes me feel alive for a moment or maybe two.
This poem is a beautiful tale of passion and lovers. Some we want for a lifetime some we know are only for a few brief moments but there is still beauty!! Great write on those private moments of passion. Posted 3 Years Ago1 of 1 people found this review constructive.

dearest John... you write with touches that create a closeness where love lingers and gives us the strength to live where flowers bloom along the Sea of possibilities to embrace the affection that heals the wounded heart. tenderly, Pat

I really like this. Leonard Cohen is, above all else, a beautiful poet. I can't think of a better soundtrack to love. I love how you used the choices in music to flavor your verses.
