The brown eyed girl

The brown eyed girl

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Poem three for April, the poetry month.

"
                    The brown eyed girl
I love the days of April,
I love the comfort of the Spring sun upon my face.
I adore the kind places when I can rejoice to the Lake St. Clair.
Thank you for the new day, thank you for good friends near and my brown eyed girl.
The blushing morning upon me and I dream of majesty eyes of my girl, my golden brown eyed love.
Once I sought hell-bound life and the prettiest gal with the gentle and kind eyes told me.
Please Johnnie, please Johnnie. Please slow down and see me.
Sit with me, please hold my hand, laid your heavy thoughts into my lap.
I will sing to you, touch your face. Make you know some peace.
I remember in the serene of the evening falling,
she held my hand and we walked the circle at Lake St. Clair.
She brought me close and she told me.
"We seek heaven, we seek hell and we find emptiness.
Estranged life leave us blind to the beauty near, the kindness near.
Let's fall into the charity of love embrace.
Maybe I can teach you to smile, to laugh again."
I brought her close and I whispered.
You are my fondest memories.
When you are near, I am humbled by your kindness.
I become drunk on your kisses and I see everything beautiful near.
I love you my brown eyed girl and when you are near.
All I can do is smile and laugh with you near.
The amber sky is above us and she whispered.
We must paint life with gentle fingers,
we must love the roses of Spring.
They teaches us. We must know pain to to know Joy.

These April poems are brilliant, enjoyable reads! This is such an inspiring read many people say brown is an ugly color, but it's truly so beautiful and you emphasized that here. The love here and the story is so enjoyable and just nice to read. You're very, very excellent at writing romance and like many other writers, I love romance! Some may say it's sappy and overused, but there's a reason we love to write it and you wrote it brilliantly!

Hello my friend and thank you for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
"We must know pain to know joy." That line stood out above all the rest for me. Many of us want smooth sailing all the way, but how could we know the good unless we had something to which to compare it? Not that I am seeking pain, but I think it is important to know that it, too, has its uses.

Mr. Coyote Poetry... Number three of April Poetry Month. I haven’t read #1, or two, yet. If they’re anything like (BROWN EYED GIRL) I already know they’re going to be spectacular reads. I haven’t been here for some time. Writing anything consistently. And what I’ve written in the past eleven years and posted as romance writing style. My boys at the time which have grown to be wonderful young men... always told me. “Dad! Too much romance in all of your writings “

After reading BROWN EYED GIRL... I’m now inspired. Elven years later to go for it and write something. Without saying anything else. Before I go. I want you to know what a master piece of work this is. Thank You for sharing. Keep writing. Never Stop.
