Just a dance

Just a dance

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Music and some words.

"
JUST  DANCERS
We are walking on pins and needles.
Once we spoke lover's words.
Now we are strangers, imprisons in self-made hell.
Did we love? Do we hate?

We tasted sweet, we tasted bitter.
Can love die? Can dead man feel the caress of love kiss again?

Maybe,
we were, just dancers,
wanting too little, wanting too much?

I want the rain to fall upon us,
the rain of memory.
Once lovers, once friend.
We need to find the place,
where the heart needed kiss and embrace.

Are we brave enough?
Are the fingerprints of love touch,
locked away in a secure safe.
Never to be found.

Should I stay?
Should I escape from you?

In the windmills of my mind,
we danced in the midnight hours and we loved, love.

Are we doomed to accept less?
I accept the blame and I wished upon the first star of the night.
Please awake my lover's sleeping heart.
I wrote on a piece of paper.
Forget me not my dearest love.
I have not forgotten you.

I agree with Light the video is the sprinkles on the cupcake. So many dances sre charged with passion, but whst I seebin the dance are people on the edge unable to spark or fall away.
I watched the video first and then read the poem. I think the two go together so well the end result would be the same. Wonderful use os sound, sight and words.

Hi Coyote
thanks for the reads on comments, they help see my strong points. Just Dance got my attention. WALK ON PINS AND NEDDLES great opening tread lightly when dancing. but the second line made me go back to my first love what we will say when in love, the strong point is what we do after as i read on, you lay out what we need what we want and in the end hope because everybody as been there before.
excelint write.

Your lines are so familiar to me dear Coyote. I have asked myself these exact words. Love here and then gone, ripping a huge hole in your heart...and you never forget it. Love your style with monologue and plaintive questions- so filled with emotion. My heart cries with you...

Thank you dear Annette. When love died. Died badly.
This poem made me dizzy because it captures that feeling when one is "chasing his own tail" like a cat - in vain. Questions without answers, paradoxes, contradictions, and the maddening thought of love - lost.

Thank you my dear friend. When love died. Never died easy. I appreciate the comment.
To know sweet, we must sometimes taste bitterness I think.

Of all the emotions, love is the most complex; and the uncertainty of it all, (no matter the surface certainty,) poses oh so many questions, many of which remain forever unanswered.

Can love die? you ask.

My answer to that is; because of the power of memory, never entirely.

Beccy.

I watched the video first, the read the poem; very passionate, part real, maybe part dream. What is love? I want to remember this dance, even in my dreams, memories too. Love is give and take; let's put it in a safe place. I love the idea of the video with the poem, well done!

There is much hard work, giving and taking, tongue biting and apologies that go into making a relationship "work" Too many throw in th e towel at the first sign of trouble.
Enjoyed the read Coyote
