Love live here no-more.A Poem by Coyote PoetrySome good jazz and some words.Us, living in a liar's grave. We can't see no-more. Once we spoke love words, we listen, we pay attention. Now we are laying in a shallow grave. Waiting for someone to be brave enough to run away. Who is wrong? Who is right? We don't know anymore. Once I chased you and now two strangers. Cold eyes and silence breathe, don't know what to say or do. I told the lonely night, love don't live here no-more. Somewhere in time, we forgot the kindness, we forgot what we were. Now we share food, now we share the whiskey and now we shared the cold bed. And I know. When love died, love died badly and cannot be saved. I know, what was done and what being done. Just payment. Payment for people, wanting too little, wanting too much. The sun is falling, and we sit across from each other, not knowing what to say, what to do. I left you on a Winter day, old heart didn't feel the December chill. My truck touched the Michigan border and I cried alone. And part of me was dead and gone.
