The crazy one's...

The crazy one's...

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

baby-vintage:
                        The crazy ones
I remember you, you had fond desire for unplanned road trips.
You loved the tequila and the lime at noon.
You hated hotels and you loved sleeping by the sea in a sleeping bags.
You hated rude people and you loved the California fish tacos.
I remember you taught me,
I was more than a soldier and life was more than us.
I became a crazy one with you near.
I remember we tried to drink every beer in a wild night in San Francisco in a early Spring.
The San Francisco policemen awoke us-up in the back of my truck in the morning.
They laughed at us and pointed at the nearest coffee shop.
We became Monterey legends,
we suicide boarded the big Winter storms for weeks and
the Germans and Japanese photograph us dancing with the wild sea.
Thinking we were the insane folks knowing no fear.
We were the lone people who trusted the Pacific.
We were the crazy ones and you taught me.
Life is the sea, being bare-a*s at Big Sur, free-climbing every mountain near and
never allow the walls to become a prison.
I left you in the Fall of 1992 and was one of my saddest day,
I was being moved to Fort Hood and I remember you told me.
I will be here in Big Sur when you need me.
You damn soldier follow ordered and will die for men who don 't care about you.
When you need to taste some crazy, I will be willing.
I never saw her again and now I teach my grandchildren, to be the crazy ones.
To dance with the sea, free-climb the mountains and test life.
Never allow anyone to tell them, they can't do something.
Better to be the crazy ones than the sleeping folks,
who had accepted less.

sometimes closeness comes when we know in our hearts that circumstances will pull us apart...not a trashed heart...

this reminds me of a love I had...we never actually broke up...we made love and then I took her to the airport so she could return to her home in Poland...we corresponded for a while longer but eventually the distance was irreversible...
good memories, though.

dearest John... "the young man and the sea" would be
your Novel at Barnes and Noble.
Dancing and romancing with free spirits.
I spent my vulnerable youth in the hills and valleys of
Napa Vally... when the earth was Virgin and so was I.
I suppose I attracted a confused young man who lost
his Father at a young age. Looking back it will always be...
"I left my heart in San Francisco... where little cable cars
ride half way to the Stars"... and so I understand how
lovely it can be when we were young and unencumbered with a song.
truly, Pat

What a teller of tales and love and wildness you are, john! Been free to roam in the past, loved the freedom, but never found the magic of another being as you did with your unnamed lady! Maybe there are times when wildness needs to part of life. And, for sure, when there's a war in the background, guess living is vital. Not everyone wants, needs or thinks about it but.. some do.

There's such urgency and more in your words, they flow like a river and so naturally. A time to remember with a woman you've not forgoteen. You knew quite af ew, didn't you!!

And yes, in a safe way, show your grandchildren what it uis to be free.. to feel free as a bird. If he or she prefers differently, so be it.. for the others, who knows.. they might be like you one day. A teller of tales, prose and poetry walking arms around themselves. Am I allowed to say i think this could be your best.

Thank you dear Hayllie for reading and the comment. Good to know crazy.
When you meet someone who brings out the crazy in you, they leave such an impact....one that lasts throughout a lifetime! Indeed, never let anyone tell you you are not able to do something. Sometimes being with someone like this for one day has more meaning that a relationship that lasts a year. That graphic you posted sure is erotic! Great one, John. Lydi**

Thank you dear Poet. We must know crazy, even when we are older. Be careful and be safe.
Free and wild and loving and brave are your words in this incredible poem dear Coyote. You paint this love story so vividly that we are right there with you. We feel it with all our senses and it lifts us to the highest of heights and deepest of depths. “Life is the sea, being bare-a*s at Big Sur, free-climbing every mountain near and never allow the walls to become a prison.” -you and your brave love doing the grand dance of life. Every image infuses us with sea salt and passion’s fire. She taught you and now you teach your grandchildren, and us. Thank you for your inspiration Dear Coyote, we especially need it now. Blessings.

Craziness is a beautiful thing sir. We can't experience life to its fullest glory without being a bit crazy and throwing caution to the winds. This is a great takeaway from this poem.

The other awesome thing is how every love in our life teaches us, leaves us with something special, a new learning.

We go through life loving and learning. Your poetry is to be celebrated!
