Robert Frost and some words.

Robert Frost and some words.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

"

“I loved the hard climb, the untouched path.

I listen for the flowing river and I go to her.

Rarely do I see people.

I sit with the trees, the free animals and allow my feet to feel the

coldness of the river.

I have learn to love the quiet places.”

Dancing Coyote

“I remember the house I lived in as a child.

Was my grandparent home.

The house was warm and

we shared three meals a day.

I remember the taste of cherries and ice cream at 8 pm.

I remembered the blessing of love,

being safe.”

Dancing Coyote

“The young girl asked me. Can we survive crazy? Can we survive madness?

I took her hands, kissed each one and I told her.

I knew crazy and I knew madness.

Being crazy kept be brave and knowing madness.

Keep be safe from the liars.

We, who see and feel too much.

Can be killed off by locked doors, imprison by fault words.

We must reach for the sun, grasp the moon and

we must walk the lonely path.

Maybe you and I,

need crazy, need madness.

Keep us, upright.”

dear John... this makes total sense to me.
There is a lot of trickery in this world.
Some may call it a mystery. I call it by
its shadow in the darkest of times.
I love the beginning lines of feeling safe and secure.
I had the same feelings at the home of my grandparents.
They were not wealthy, but they grew their own food, milked the Cow and fed the chickens that produced eggs. Grandma churned butter and made preserves from the Grape vines.
They had their own horse to pull the plow and they had a Pig or two and a smokehouse also. They were comfortable, and Grandpa worked in the Coal mines
of West Virginia, and later he and his sons worked for the Railroad. Those were the good old days of Progress. truly, Pat

Thank you my friend for reading and the comment. Take care and be safe. We need the old ways today.
That's the fate of every poet I think, to see and feel too much...to hear and understand every trickling spring that feeds the river of life. Will we be lost in the telling of our own story? I do not know. But I know that we must speak the words and believe and we must tell the story for everyone that has been silenced and for every voice that can no longer speak. Blessings of peace, my friend. F.

This a great reminder that we must lift ourselves above any crisis that threatens to engulf us. Stay together although apart. It's worth remembering that man has lived through and survived many and much more testing times.
Well done for sharing coyote. I like how you think back to the simple pleasures in life.
All the best

Thank you Alan. We must remember the good days and the bad days. I appreciate the comment my friend.
My heart flies as I follow your beautiful word path dear Coyote. I too was raised by my beloved grandmother, Maria Anna. This poem brings her to my eyes. We had little, but we shared so much love. You write with complete purity of spirit and the crystal clarity of pristine air. You are one with nature and her voice. We rely on you to interpret it for us. You are a true Shaman here and I thank you from my deepest heart for your wisdom and guidance. The last four lines of this poem are the truth of it all. Stay well my friend. May you walk in light always.

Lovely memories of places where you felt safe and secure as a child. I have similar memories and travel there when the going gets tough. Nature and the environment also helps me. Open spaces, the countryside, the beach, mountains and even my garden all make me feel safe. Restriction makes you feel imprisoned. There are many at this moment in time who feel imprisoned. Thank you Coyote for your poetry. Always a pleasure to read you.
