The value of one life

The value of one life

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I have great concern for my world.

"
The value of one life
Men in offices, in Washington D.C.
Screaming out,
kill, fight and murder those son of b*****s.
They are the enemy?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the enemy are with-in the walls.
1.2 trillion spend on war last year.
Fat men and women control our world.
How many must die before we learn.
War is fought for profit, not for the cause of peace.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stood with soldiers on the Iraq border.
20,000 men and women willing to kill the strangers in a foreign land.
We did what we were told.
Are the tools of death as guilty as the tanks and the planes?
When you teach a child to kill.
What life lesson was learn??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My grandchildren are eleven now.
Damn loco President want to create another war.
Will we learn the lesson of Rome?
Send our youth to die and like Rome.
Go broke in wealth and kill our youth.
I fear I will become the face of my grandmother and
I will watch my grandchildren deploy for war one day.
I will pray and know many tears.
I ask everyone.
What is the value of one life.
Everything.

i am so with you on this one...
the fat cats....the crazies trying to start another war...
it is what it is...the money that wars bring...that is what is 90 percent behind them...
we don't learn from history or its mistakes.

Led by fools, killed by being silence. I pray we survive this mess. Thank you dear Pat for reading.
Very deep and true to the heart. You echo things that should've been realized since our country's inception. For the sake of a plain and sick agenda, our country will sacrifice anything and anyone to attain it. Though its not worth the cost, the greatest value lost will always be the lives given up for it. It begs the question do we perceive value in our violence goals more than the individuals going for it? You and I both know that disgusting answer and it plays out in our society everyday. I hope one day things have a turn around for the better even if it's slow and steady. Magnificent piece of work my friend!
