The value of one life

The value of one life

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I have great concern for my world.

"
The value of one life
Men in offices, in Washington D.C.
Screaming out,
kill, fight and murder those son of b*****s.
They are the enemy?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the enemy are with-in the walls.
1.2 trillion spend on war last year.
Fat men and women control our world.
How many must die before we learn.
War is fought for profit, not for the cause of peace.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stood with soldiers on the Iraq border.
20,000 men and women willing to kill the strangers in a foreign land.
We did what we were told.
Are the tools of death as guilty as the tanks and the planes?
When you teach a child to kill.
What life lesson was learn??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My grandchildren are eleven now.
Damn loco President want to create another war.
Will we learn the lesson of Rome?
Send our youth to die and like Rome.
Go broke in wealth and kill our youth.
I fear I will become the face of my grandmother and
I will watch my grandchildren deploy for war one day.
I will pray and know many tears.
I ask everyone.
What is the value of one life.
Everything.

i am so with you on this one...
the fat cats....the crazies trying to start another war...
it is what it is...the money that wars bring...that is what is 90 percent behind them...
we don't learn from history or its mistakes.
powerful write, Coyote

one of my beloved grandson's is on standby to deploy.. one of the last things he said to me when he was home for Christmas was "oh Gramma.. I won't ever get deployed to a war zone.." it always amazes me how wise my Mother was.. "never say never" I have thought and said and believed many things about life and death and war.. seems my whole life has been defined by war of some kind.. and we often don't recognize the extraordinary impact it has on our culture.. on all of us.. I have kissed soldiers good by and welcomed them home.. but this one is different.. because this ONE is MY skin in the game.. suddenly my perspective has shifted.. and I don't care if it is a righteous conflict or not.. I just want to scream at all of them to stop and shut up and KNOW that ONE is MINE.. thank you, my friend, for your wise and incredible words of one life and one death.. and war..

Iran attacked our embassy and killed a civilian contractor. So, in response, the U.S. killed a terrorist responsible for the deaths of over 600 American service personnel. He was also responsible for thousands of deaths of Iranians and Iraqis. I don't think anyone wants a war. But we can't let attacks against our military and embassy go unanswered either. An Iranian American woman has been at the front of the human rights issues in her native country. She posted this on facebook giving her opinion of the situation from a human rights standpoint.. Check it out. It might offer some fresh perspective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVzIkREFmjg

This reminds me of the song f**k the world by anti flag he quotes in his song one trillion dollars spent on war:) He is a friend of mine and he would love this poem Coyote (if he comes to the store I will show it to him:) the enemy is within the walls these days brother no doubt! PS I had to take his song off of my playlist cause he says f**k like 20 times in the song and my waitress kept turning off the stereo LOL

Thank you Chris for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
We never learn do we? Each death is one too many. We live in dangerous times and we are led by dangerous people who are hell bent on conflict. I understand exactly how you feel Coyote about your grandchildren. As a grandmother myself, we want our loved ones to live in a peaceful environment. I don't want to end my days worrying about the future for the younger generations. Let's hope things don't escalate further. All good wishes to you my friend. I feel your concern. I truly do.

Thank you dear Chris for reading. All we have is some prayers and some hope.
Such devastating human toll, just for the whims and fancies of a few crack, egotistical, eccentric leaders! Such has always been history. Your words are powerful and put in perspective, what war means to each of us, in our own personal way...

My friend wrote something on this note on Facebook the other day! I answered War what is it good for ? Absolutely nothing.. it’s a disgrace not to value life it’s disgusting to deliberately cause chaos and war for ill meaning gains ... shame on those fat cats trying to start a war to feed their power hungry and greedy arrogance.
