Author's Note

Coyote Poetry
It is terrible when your mind forsaken you. I sit by Lake Huron at Port Austin. I love the strong waves of the lake today. Today I remembered a Island, somewhere in time, somewhere where I found peace and salvation. I believe I went to this island often in my youth. I remember the beauty of the island, the long bridge that took me to small houses and cabins. A downtown area filled with many bars and good restaurants. I remember the names of two women. Lana and Nicole. I remember holding hands, long talks and nights, where I was safe from the world, near but afar.

der John... the warmth of a woman's or a man's hand...
extended to share the sound of the waves and perhaps
the fire in a Cave... safe from the wind and rain and storms
of life. The sacred vows of kinship... like a Ship tossed in the
midst of uncertain destiny. tenderly, Pat
