A moment, of forever.

A moment, of forever.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words.

"

                                A moment, of forever

                     "Holy as love

You were my Winter prayer,
my Christmas miracle.

We found a safe place to keep warm,
we locked the door,
held tightly and stole seconds, hours and nights away,

We didn't know,
borrow kisses and pretty words,
almost, as holy as love.

Old poet wished on the first star of the night, near the sea.
A moment, of forever.
So damn sweet,
He wish to know again.

Just one more dance,
just one more sweet kiss from his Bonnie gal,
and make him believe.
Love never can die and the pretty girl are miracles and Winter blessings.

Holy as love,
she was.

Your poetry speaks of love which is eternal...
to be a prayer that blows in the wind... along the sea...
a wave of everlasting depth... to find the warm sand
and the rising of the sun... a song that has many verses
for a very special dance. truly, Pat

This piece makes my heart sing :) I don't say that often about poetry. Holy love; I like it.When we have something so innocent and fragile in our hands and hearts how could it not be holy? Always with us and never corrupt. It's love. Very beautiful, Coyote. Great read.

Ohhhh!!! Holy as love. The words sit beautifully on my tongue, in my throat. Breathtaking, dear Coyote!!! :):). I hope she decides to pass your way again, my friend.

Thank you Dylan. I appreciate the comment.
Just words? Beautiful words. I don't really have any misgivings about them. I would consider breaking up some of the long lines, to balance it out a bit. Your line, "Love can never die ..." could be a whole stanza on its own. One of the beauties of free verse is that you can do whatever you want, but sometimes that is done at the expense of balance.

We all wish for one more dance but often we cannot have it and in this piece you capture that yearning as though it is a myth.
