No mas amor

No mas amor

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

                          No mas amor

My velvet and silk dream,
we danced by the Florence Summer moon.

The star lit the sky and
our feet moving to the sweet song.

I whispered to her,
you love the tango more than me.

She brought her body near and she whispered.
You promise me dancing, sweet words and no promises.

I want to fall into you with no payment due.
No mas amore dear lover.

Let's paint a Hemingway night,
dance till three,
make love by the river.
Be brave, not prisoners.

I told her,
your wish is my command.
We have Florence,
the good wine and the long night.
You and I.

We shall be greedy and we will steal kisses and dance till we can't no-more.
Pretty lady smiled, wrapped her legs tightly around my legs.

The moon smiles and the stars danced with.
Two people do the dance of sensuality,
the tango of love wild, love free.

Thank you Ryanna. All of need, some Paris nights.
May I offer these words? You seem to have set your poem in Italy. The tango is not a dance we associate with Italy. Or is there a Florence in Argentina? If your poem really is set in Italy, the Italian for 'No mas amor' is 'Niente più amore.'

So lovely. I like this progression of your poetry. Subtle, sweet, and totally you. Would you ever speak your poems for us to hear?
One minor suggestion: I would either say can't no more or cannot anymore, depending on whether you want to go for colloquial speak or grammatically correct
