My lover, my loverA Poem by Coyote PoetryJust words. My lover, my lover Beautiful black night allowed us to release fear, allowed us to show true face. We released our clothing, danced to the songs of Bob Seger. We are skin to skin, lips to lips and we speak few words. I told her. Pretty angel, kind night allowed us to be fearless and brave. You are the prettiest wish I have known. Her eyes, hazel green, allowed me to see the world of perfect beauty and know the comfort of love. She whispered. Silence we need, silence we need. My lover, my lover. Too much talk already done. Show me, overtake my skin with wanting hands and sweet kiss. Talk is cheap and you and I. We have found a second of salvation. Two people dance in the darkness. The doors are locked and the emotion of holy love. Is alive and well. Coyote
