Forever young

                             Forever young

Once I was fearless and brave.
Love was life and life was love.
I had a strong back and powerful legs.
I was going to save my world.

Once I wanted long nights and I could dance till the sunrise.
I love the song and I loved the red-hair ladies.

Time had  stole the energy of my youth,
too many losses made brave and fearless man walk slower and think too much.
My old heart had learn.

Life is simple. Be forever young in spirit.
Dance with the grandchildren,
teach them to be fearless and brave.

Don't complain,
laugh and dance till the midnight hours.
Sing songs of praise and be thankful for what you have.

Once I was fearless and brave and I know now.
Love near, keep us young and hopeful.
Lead with concern, kindness and listen.
Be forever young,
never allow life to make you become old.

One cannot help the aging of the body but can opt to remain happy and make the most of our situation at any age. Happy people make for happy friends, parents and grandparents. I appreciate your love for life and your insight and compassion, expressed in this poem, Coyote!

Wonderful, heartfelt sentiments. That makes you smile within. No truer words were spoken. Coyote, Thank you for sharing this amazing poem. The spirit never dies. The body might get weaker with age. But we are still young inside.

Thank you my friend. I appreciate the comment.
I am still a child.
I might have a beard growing a shade lighter,
but I get to play.

Enough of that.
Niece's boyfriend's siblings have various nicknames.

Santa. Black Santa. Monster.

I might be Krampus.

Part of it is they have heard me laugh.

Nice write John.

Thank you Jon. We must enjoy our life.
The bones may creak with old age but the spirit can stay ever young. Stay near young people as you grow older, that:s my solution Coyote. They have a way of lifting your spirits.

Thank you my friend. We will allow our words to dance for us. I appreciate the comment.
Not just. Words. Rather words of wisdom in my opinion..one chooses to stay forever young in spirit though old we grow..live love and laugh and pass it on to our grandchildren ..a lovely poem here John..well expressed

Of course Coyote! It’s a pleasure always!
I think that's the cycle right?
We do what we can while we can and then we teach the next generation all we've learned.
Pass down the knowledge and wisdom while enjoying the moments with them while we can.
