I will sing the blues for you

I will sing the blues for you

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Just words

"

I will sing the blues for you

Johnnie be good, Johnnie be bad and
Johnnie dancing alone to the Jazz.

The words sweet, tempting and so true.
My baby left me, I'm so damn alone.
Now I have the blues and the gin and the juice.

I confess my song to the half-empty drink.
She was so fine, like a 500 dollars wine.
Her kiss so sweet.
She was my Black Velvet whiskey,
smooth and easy to drink in her beauty.

I told her once and I told her often.
Take my hand, touch my face.
Take what you need.

I know.
Kisses so sweet, can turn so bitter.
Love so gentle can turn to love, so damn mean.

You and I.
Bewitched by the moon dance will learn.
We were just Gypsies souls resting.
Love is for the lucky and we are not the lucky.

Please come back to me my honey wine and
I will sing the blues for you.
We will learn sorrow and need, we can't ever be fulfilled.

Love be so damn sweet, so damn hurtful.

Hi coyote, your poem takes me back to my days of screeching blues in the blues harp. You made me see such beautiful images, of a lady lost in the blues. How could one not love the blues, I say. Loved this wonderful write, my friend. When I first read your poems I had you pictured as a roving musician...Peter

Beautiful profound flow of words, deep and rich like jazz, emotionally stirring like the blues. Your words communicate so well why I often find myself writing to these powerful sounds. Her music will always linger in you.

How is this not a song. You need to post a video with this piece of you singing it. It's an epic piece from a great writer. Congrats.

If I sang. I make Bob Dylan sound like Elvis. Thank you Richard for reading and the kind words.
Ah, I love the Blues! They are so universally applicable, as are your words here, my friend. Everybody goes through this experience at some point, and we all sing the blues then. The yearning of one soul for another is very apparent. Fine words.

Sorry, my friend, but I'm not a big jazz fan. My other love is hard rock! But to each his own, eh?
Beautiful🌹As long as love is true it’s worth each inch of pain and happiness- luck is not important but blessings are - rather be blessed than lucky🌹wonderful words🌹
