The war is overA Poem by Coyote PoetryJust words and thoughts. The war is over The war is over for you, my friend. The taps was played. Many soldiers stood near your grave. A soldier is resting now and he had found peace under six feet of dirt. I wondered? Do the dead soldier find peace? The sound of guns and bombs are silence now for them. The soldier life of blood and guts left behind. The war is over for them. I pour a six pack of Miller high life on a lonely grave. I told my friend. No winners in war. We were tricked and fooled. After you stand by a grave of a soldier, a friend who left family and children. You understand. Blood demand blood. War had no conscious. Men will fight till they can't bleed no-more.
