LiarA Poem by Coyote PoetryJust words

Liar --- She was as pretty as a warm July Summer morning. She knew I loved her and I would live and die in her arms. I savored our lips upon lips. Our skin upon skin and I knew she was just a wish and a prayer. I knew you can't stop the sun or the moon from rising and falling. I knew her heart was not bounded to one place or one man. -------- She whispered, please stay with me my dear lover. The night is long and scary when we are alone. Please hold me tightly and please whisper love words. Dear Poet, the liar's prayers make us feel safe when the chill of the night overcomes us. Even a wisp of love is a blessing.
