Lay lady lay

Lay lady lay

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

Some 4-5 line poetry. A effort.

                             Lay lady lay

---

She peeled her clothing off slow and easy like a stripper tempting a wanting man.
She stood bare for me and I knew she wasn't real.
She looked into my eyes searching for some kind of emotions.
I whispered to her. I want to see your real face.

----

She wore a brilliant disguise.
Her angelic face made me fall into her embrace.
She played the devil and angel with grace.
Her phrases spoken were to tempt me, to fall into a false love.

----

Bitter or sweet.
Simmered love or a careless love.
We will know sorrow or sweetness.
I believe all attempts at love are blessings.

So hard to undress ourselves for others. I'm not talking about taking off our clothes, I'm talking about stripping away our walls, our fronts, our masks. It takes a lot of patience and trust to expose our true selves. I like your ending though. As long as there are opportunities then there's hope. Nice one Coyote.

Awesome my Brother and a great song... liked the way Derrick & The Domino's (Eric Clapton) presented it. It's good to be back and visiting old friends and reading up on what's current... exceedingly well spoken, these verses captured in your Ink. Write On / Right On... Romon in Review.

Thank you Rory. I'm glad to see your name today.
All attempts at love are blessings indeed.
Having said that, to put up an act of love to fulfill some ulterior motive is never the real thing.
Nice thoughts.

My favourite Dylan song and I think one of my favourites of yours John. Excellent use of words. Especially that last line.
