       Recollections
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                              Kellie
I was intoxicated by you.
My beautiful dark eyes muse, you made me beg for seconds of time, to be near you.
You were a wild spirit tempting life, leaving my foolish hearts to wish for tender kiss
and long embrace.

I remember you beautiful Kellie.
You were a smile, kind words and stormy memory.
Now your face a scattered memory,
yearning to be spoken a loud.

-----------
                         Confession of a lover
Madness, secret whispers and hidden wishes.
Dear Kellie. Can you hear my bounded and quiet wishes.
Wishes to taste salty skin and to surrender to private needs and want.
I want to taste the sea and to dance with you near the wild sea.
I want my deck of cards of living to fall into proper place.
Where you and I.
Lay bare and free.
Where true words are spoken and love is alive and well.
------

Kellie must have been one of those all encompassing loves. I remember the feeling. It's a thick kind of passion and will strangle you if you let it.

I hope this is not an allusion to loss in the physical. If it is, I'm sorry for your loss. The pictures you paint here are evocative. The phrasing could be changed around a little, but that's just me. I'm always changing my sentence structures to try and find the perfect presentation.

Great piece of poetry, John. Time heals most wounds, but we poets torture ourselves to keep them fresh for our pens!

I love that song "Summertime Sadness", it's just so damn catchy and beautiful sounding, lol.

A pretty, tender musing on Love, remembering that certain woman you will never forget no matter what happens. Her eyes, her hair, her sweet smile and her beautiful soul.

If this is based on an experience of yours, it must have been bitter yet wonderful just to be with her while you could.

This is a fantastic poem that reminded me of a woman named Lindsay that I loved and she loved me but it was never meant to last. I still recall her loveliness from time to time and it causes me a small measure of sad regret...

Very effective and lovingly written poem, Trickster! :)

Of course, My Coyote Trickster. ;)
Not just words, but a "true confession" of love you pen down in words. I really liked the imagery of it. Very deep, beautiful, & nicely "recollected" compilation of memories it is. Well penned!

I love this song!
Nice pairing of words & lyrics...
Intoxication of emotions, feelings, and lost love --a mix that lasts and lingers for quite awhile.

No matter how much time passes, there are always memories to jolt us right back there. Once the heart has bonded with someone, it absorbs their energy and it is hard to forget, beautiful imagery here :)

Save the words, save the breath, act on what she cant hear, the soul cant be moved without a movement caused. Kellie! You will remember by reliving the moments. Now those memories are recurring events. Beautiful. Just beautiful! Pardon my reaction

Another wonderful memory from you of a love that came in like a storm, leaving her mark as she paused and moved on.

You're welcome. :)
Beautiful as always -- loves and stormy wishes -- we don't forget, and we tend to more gently remember as we age ...
