A great man day is on 16 January. Please think of him this day. A man who wanted equality and peace. We need men like him today.
We shall over come.
I'm a old man now. I remember my Grandfather took me to a big gathering in Detroit. So many people were around me. I was a small child holding my grandfather's hand. He was a Mexican American and he told me. Martin Luther King Jr. is here. Remember John. Freedom cost a lot. I remember hearing a voice of thunder. He made the people cheer with joy and hope. I remember my father and grandfather cries when he was murdered. I cries with them.
To maintain equality. A never ending battle. All of us must demand equal rights for all.
Racism is a sickness. Racism spread quickly and can cause great hate and separation. We must stop the disease quickly and ensure we lead with concern, kindness and love. Hateful men want us to have separation. We must remember Martin Luther King Jr. We must be one in hope, one in love and one in stopping the men who love war over peace.
January 16th is Martin Luther King day. Spread his words and his dream. I wish I got to know you Martin Luther King Jr.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”
― Arthur Schopenhauer, Essays and Aphorisms
This is happening now. The following is not.
“Quote words that affirm
all men and women are your
brothers and sisters.”
― Aberjhani, The River of Winged Dreams
These and yours say it better than I ever could.

My Mexican/Ojibwa father wasn't allowed in my Mother's grandparent house. Racism is so far away and today racism is being forced upon us. Don't damn the Arab people for the action of a few. Don't hate cops because the action of a few. Thank you Ken for reading and the comment.

When the most powerful practice outright racism then we have a duty as poets and artists to say not in my name.

Sadly I'm not sure if thisn world can or could do well in ever truly uniting there is too much pride that tends to get in the way ...
I'm so glad I'm not one who discriminates as much as so many others who are ....
My Hope and deepest prayer is that 1 day ...
Racism can and will end...
Because God doesn't see colors or cultures... as an indifference... He just sees us as HIS!
These are the things that in my opinion draw us closer together as a people and what makes us who we are TOGETHER not set apart!
UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL !
R.I.P. MARTIN LUTHER KING! 😔❤💪👏

Thank you so much for this, my friend. For this dear remembrance, for continuing this song of the dream so that it will fill the whole earth. We can unite and rise, or we can break into divisions and perish. The more I see the world the more I realize we are wasting precious time in the painful places rather than the places of peace. It's time. It's past time. Your words are a powerful call to rise as one in peace.

Beautiful tribute to Martin Luther King Jr., brother. This really did touch me, especially the last portion of this. Racism is an illness of the highest order in our society, and the sooner it gets treated as such, the closer we'll get to alleviating a lot of what's happened to everyone, regardless of ethnicity, perhaps.
Wonderful. Thank you for putting this foot forward.

Thank you Asante. All of us must stand for the right. I appreciate the comment.
The hate, it feels it's never ending. Everything bad what's happening in the world right now, I feel heavy on my shoulders.
We live in hope.

I have a connection. We share a birthday. Couldn't help look at the man. I am still amazed at the restraint he showed. Something I still try.
