Thank you Leonard Cohen. You taught me. Words had great meaning and
could come alive. You were the Poet of song. I saw you in concert in
1978 and 1979 in Germany. You were a legend to many already. The great
Poet had left us. He shall never be forgotten. The word-men and
word-women will hold dearly to his special song and voice. I miss you
already Leonard Cohen. I hope you are singing in the tower of song.
dear John... I never saw Leonard Cohen in
person... I did discover his song, "Hallelujah" that
I love. I appreciate the videos you have shared.
I agree, John, your poetry does remind me of
the poetry and songs of Leonard Cohen. truly, Pat

They do and they did. They love music and the word.
This is a beautiful tribute & an interesting share, with your gut-level response to this sad news, plus your perfect song spins. It's so nice to get back to real life after all the news being dominated by this ridiculous election drama. Losing the "poet of song" (awesome phrase) is a bummer, but at least it reminds us of our humanity & our connections on this planet! (((HUGS)))

Have been a fan since 1969. Loved his songs and poems. Maybe his words sum it up.
'One by one, the guests arrive
The guests are coming through
The open-hearted many
The broken-hearted few
And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing'
He'll be missed, John.

A Poet and writer who love to read and write.
My pleasure is reading about the bad and good in a life.
Also to honor the Poets/Writers of the past by reading their words.
