Peace will come

Peace will come

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

    Peace will come

My child, don't you cry. War is near and life is so hard.
Tomorrow may come and a new day where the sun shall shine upon a world where
men seek healing over death. Kindness over hate. concern over greed.
My children. Your Father's world is blood red with with hate and separation.
I pray to the sea, the great lakes and the land.
Please teach this world.
Every child is part of this world.
Every life had value.
Gun and bombs are not tools of peace.

My child, please forgive me. Like my father. I allowed the world to become bloody with hate.
A worthless life is allowing this world to fall to chaos. Today I sing to you.

Sweet peace, kind peace.
Where are you?
If we don't seek peaceful solution and we leave the child with nothing.
What have we done my friend?

This is a beautiful prayer, an empathetic song for all the war-torn countries that never seem to know peace. I can't help but picture the children being rescued in Aleppo when monsters continue to bomb hospitals & emergency services -- unfathomable. I also feel responsible for the war-torn world we are passing on to our children. We can only try to brighten up our little corners of the world & you do this very eloquently with your regular messages of peace (((HUGS)))

My heart too is broken and thank you dear Gullia for reading and the comment.
The video is very touching. When you are in an emotional state I would say that this could hit you in many different ways. I woulds say that it is perfect. These words are not just words they are meanings. They are hope, Inspiration for many. They are things to lift people up when they are down. It will let them know that eventually you will reach the end of the pain and you will have peace, or a calming, or something that is better than were you are now. It said that there is a chance in your life that peace will come. I don't believe that statement all because of one word. That word is chance. I believe that peace, and hope will come not a chance but will come. That people should not give up at all because that is the worst you can do.
The first line is kind of confusing to me. Telling a child that you should not cry because war is near and life is hard. I think that the child should be comforted. The next couple of lines I believe are perfectly true all together. Every day is a new day. The sun will shine you can have the choice to choose hatred or peace. You can be selfish or selfless. You have the choice. The fourth word is telling me that the father had no good words. I believe that the lines four through eight are asking for help to get away from he pain and the hurt. Then you are trying to explain that the things being used right now are not peace they are hatred death tools. We are suppose to be kind instead we are killing people. You apologize because you blame yourself. But you can't do that. It is not just your fault it is everyone. You don't have control over everybody. You have control over you. you are asking where it is the peace the kindness the world that is not full of hatred. Well it starts with you. You have to be the change in the world that you want to see. So start with that.
I really enjoyed this poem, it really made me think, about many different things. I had my past pop into my head as i read this, it showed me i have made some bad mistakes. i realize i need to practice what i preach. SO i will make the change in the world that i want to see. I hope that everyone else does too. I also enjoyed the video even though it brought tears to my eyes it shoes i have a soul, and that i can feel things. I really hope that you continue to write poems like this and i hope you post more videos. I really believe you have an amazing talent. you are putting it to use. Thank you for allowing us to see how wonderful you really are in your writing, and thought process.

There are good, peace-loving people in the world, but their voices are all too often drowned by the sound of gunfire and bomb explosions. We should all wish for a better, peaceful world. Sadly, I cannot see it becoming a reality any time soon. Still ,we have to live in hope! A good write.

We need these days of hope and love to come back.
Such deep sentiment...and so true.
As Reagan once said...something to the effect the loss of freedom (or perhaps we could read between the lines and include peace) is but one generation away. Each generation makes choices that impact the generations to come in so many unseen ways. Beautiful poem.

Reagan was right. Peace, a word rarely spoken. Thank you for reading and the comment.
I have mixed feelings for this one... I must say it is true. I was exposed young to the real world, ever since the world never seemed as innocent as when I was a baby or at 5 yrs. I think we all try to save the world for our children yet one day they are next in line to protect the young.

The word "peace" is overused, mostly to explain silence and things like that. But, as we have learned, silence is fatal. This poem seems to be the original definition of "peace". Another amazing work of yours.
