The pureness of my reflection

The pureness of my reflection

                           The pureness of my reflection

Once we had the moon, the sun and the free road.
You were my footprints into wild waters and secret places upon mountain where the clouds
danced with us.

Together we fell into the carousel of wild sea.
Suicide boarding the California Winter storm than
healing body and soul together in deep thoughts and tender embrace into deep nights.

We invented new places and journey. Free-climbing high into private hills and mountains.
I remember you dancing nude by the secret waterfalls. You blessed my vision and the sun.

Today you have become my moon, my sun and my wild river.
The pureness of my reflection take me to you in sweet dreams.

I remember your short t-sheets and your commands for long massages.
You were my perfect beauty who sang songs of love to me by the Monterey sea.
I have ascended to old age and I still whisper your name in the quiet of the night.

I love you Gail. I hope you are safe and still seeking the beauty of this world.

This is no poem. This is love. I love the way how you fill the words with sympathy and compassion because genuinely, we feel it, too. You write it as if you're serenading us to the place itself and allowing us to become witnesses of the love you had with Gail along with the moon, the stars and the free road. Nice piece, Sir Coyote!

that is such a lovely verse Coyote. It's evident here that you care deeply for Gail. The poem honestly felt like something I shouldn't be reading (not that that is a bad thing). It seamed like something written on one of the folds of your brain. Great.

Thank you Cole for reading and the comment. Old memories become sweeter with time.
A lovely piece that transports the reader into the reality of the speaker's world so quickly it is like putting your toe in the lake and realize you are already submerged and swimming. One minor point, grammatically speaking, you should put an "are" (I hope you are safe) the rest of the minor points just add to the beauty and sincerity of the poem.

A brilliant piece of writing, Coyote.

Simply eloquent and amazingly heartfelt in its dedication. A loving diatribe to a lover from the past. One this writer obviously retains plenty of love and affection for to this day.

There is a beautiful sincerity and serenity in your writes. Wisdom and words combining in such a lovely way to tell a tale from life and the past.
Great work.

This is beautiful, the vivid imagery, it made me feel like I'm observing this epic love in all these beautifully painted scenes and surroundings your words created. Gail has captured the hearts of many through your words, she must be something else entirely, a true muse, beauty beyond words. Incredible write sir, with such emotion and happiness throughout. Lovely tribute.

The power of reflecting on memories, some good, some bad but like this piece, some lovely. The sincerity in your words paint a perfect picture of what once was and yet still held near and vivid. "I still whisper your name in the quiet of the night", sums up the deepest, most delicate emotion within your heart. Great love story, friend! Bravo!

How wonderful is love that two embark upon; an adventure of the heart, mind and spirit through times good and bad and if some tenderness survives I believe the journey was no failure on either part, even if it leads to differing destinations.

I agree. Old age had made every attempt at love worthwhile.
