   My earth, our earth--A prayer

Dear Goddess of the morning sun. Thank you for the splendor of the new day.
Thank you for the gifts of open and free valleys, the towering mountain ranges.

Thank you for allowing me to swim in the Great lakes and the powerful sea.
You are a timeless beauty who many have forgotten.

Kind Nature, you give us water to drink, to nurture our body.
You allowed the fruit and vegetables to grow to keep us strong and alive.
The flowers and trees create  oxygen for us to be able to breathe and live.

Dear Goddess. Many of us have not forgotten you. We look to the sky and
we pray to the hate and the greed of man to wake-up. Be kind to you.

Thank you for the warmth of the sun, the feel of dancing waves on our feet and
the opportunity to flourish in the joy and the happiness of the new day.

I look to the sky daily and touch the old trees near. I thank them for the gifts shared.
One day man may learn. Us and nature are brothers and sisters. Nature is alive, a part of us.

Wow. This is very powerful and very beautiful. It is very sad how we treat our great Earth in the midst of all we have to be grateful for, which She has provided. This was special to me because I love being out amidst nature to write. I look to the clouds during the day and the stars at night; and I absolutely love our huge, boiling sun. To me nature is the only thing on this planet that is without sin and is eternally good. Thanks for sharing this piece. Brilliant

Such beautiful, tender words of life, filled with endless peace. How your thoughts awaken her presence all around us.

Thank you my friend for reading and the kind words.
A beautiful prayer to Mother Nature - for all her nurturing gifts like the wonders described in this poem - we are blessed.

Thank you for reading and I agree.
Altho I've only read a fraction of your massive library, this is now my new favorite. I absolutely love the respectful tone, pointing out human foibles without blaming or being vindictive, just hopeful for better days. Everything you've said here, I've thought a few times a day, as I enjoy my nature setting. Thanks for this stunning tribute to our blessed Mother Earth.
