Three short poems

Three short poems

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just words

"

                             Old man
Standing by dirt and gravestone.
I whispered I miss you my grandfather.
I have become you.
Your words have became my words.
Thank you dear friend.

                           I love you
I love you,
I love you,
I need you.
Forget me not my love.

                           Heart
Love didn't break my heart.
Life did.
I learn all good things must end with screams and tears.
Please my dear friend.
Give me hope.
Please give me enough rope to hang on.

Old man - over the time of my life , I will become half as good as my late grandfather, I know. I adore him is a major understatement. Thank you for bringing back those memories.

I love you - personal cynic ego tells me I have come to hate the word "need" . I want the one whom I love, not need. Majority doesn't relate to this or embrace self- sufficiency. But for most others, this poem must be a joyful read. But what we all wish, is that the other person doesn't give our memory away.

Heart - Please give me enough rope to hang on. Perfect end. Inspirational.

All three poems are written beautifully, and with emotions that any reader can feel! Coyote, as you say no weakness in these three poems, awesome!

Thank you. I'm trying different things. Short poetry is hard to write for the epic poet.

My pleasure!
All three are written from the heart. My favorite is the last one, because I some time pray for enough rope to hang on to.

Oh my so many more lol but yeah the old music never dies:) I am listening to Steve Earle now
The three poems express love in all its amazing hues and shades. There is much sadness in the lines but there is also the joy of true love and that's what really matters after all. Thanks for sharing all of it.
