Copy and paste

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Can you truly protect your words and art.

"
                           Copy and paste

New world my brothers and sisters writers and artist.
Computers are running the world.
Are the words and artwork secure and safe?
No.

I do like the Bob Dylan quote.
"If you are going to steal my work. Please re-write it better."
I read the ancient writers. I will borrow a phrase to expand my thoughts
and poetry. By reading one book weekly for most of my life. I have learn.
Every words had been written by someone or somewhere in time.

We need to protect our work. Each of us with different thoughts and views.
I like the reader from other countries beside the USA. They tell stories and legends
of old places. I believe we need to write to expand knowledge and teach.

I'm not offended by reading or hearing my work being spoke and sang.
At least someone thought I was worthwhile to repeat.

Copy and paste. Today many sites are allowed to re-blog your work.
I'm honored when someone re-blog my work. Allowed my words to be expanded.
I do re-blog words and art that is powerful, beautiful and had purpose.
Always give credit to the artist or painter.

I have been asked often this week. How do you expand your poetry and artwork
to more people. Easy answer. Network, network and network some more. Easy to receive
help if you are kind and read and review others. Respect and friendship is earned.

I recommend back-up with paper and disc. Leave record of the birth of words or art.
Use the copyright laws to your advantage.

I like what Dryden wanted. He wanted writers to write. Write, write and write some more.
Write about love and  hate. Pain and pleasure. War and peace. God and the devil.
Make the tire mind of the reader come alive and take the them to better places.

Words need to dance and sing. Artwork need to make the eyes grasp beauty, sadness and places.

"Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosophy which does not laugh and the greatness which does not bow before children."

Khalil Gibran

Thank you for reading. Writer write. Dreamer dream. We must travel, test life and have fun.
A artist must know the sweetness and the dirtiness of real life to create.

Just thoughts on copyright. We need to copyright. But I don't believe the words and art is safe with new tech.

Lovely quotes by Gilbran and Dylan, I am petrified that someone elses lines will stick in my head after reading them and surface later subconciously into one of my poems, I want to read others but this is always a fear for me, not so much the other way around, and I appreciate what you are trying to say here, enjoyed the concern and I liked that quote by Bob.

Using someone's thoughts, feelings or emotions to inspire a poem or art is one thing..copying word for word is another. I have had my work stolen and it isn't a good feeling, however, if something I write inspires someone else, I would consider it a wonderful compliment. Great poem my friend. I enjoyed this one very much.

I've had some of my work "re blogged " before. At least they asked me if it was okay. Without my knowledge obviously I have no clue.
