What will I remember?

What will I remember?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Life is long. People are many. What is truly important?

"

What will I remember?

Days pass by.

Life goes on.

What will I hold on to?

Family

Family
Grandparent, family.
Love?
Love?
Friendship?
War?

Kindness and love is all we have left in the end.

A man with a handful of bills and children at his feet.

He know love and what is important.

As days go by, what will I remember?
Soft and shallow goals,
Of wishes unfulfilled?
Or kind and gentle hands,
Family, friend, and kin.

Something that popped into my head after reading this.

You make valid points. Family, the ones you choose to have and the ones that despite being thrust upon you, fill your heart are the true joys in life. Time wears away all things. Only through family does anything worthwhile ever last.

Thank you for sharing.

A very haunting write. We will probably remember that which we think isn't so important in life. Friends and family perhaps. A sad truth for so many.

Those are two of the most important things in the end. Family and friendship, which equals out to love.

Beautiful thoughts shared that show a great depth of knowing what is truly important in life! The Truths living life fully! I Like the pictures incorporated in the write! Showing visually all the love in Family, and “family of Friends”. Even in “war” you speak of the fact that in living in kindness, and love is what truly matter in life, and those that are a part of the living shown therein! Your work is full of wisdom gleaned along the way. Another inspiriting read my Friend! ~ :-)
