Perfect

I want to be loved

Someone said I needed to be perfect fro that

So I tried hard

I challenged my limitations

Years passed,

I looked how far I came

Same place

It was a step in place

When was the last time that I smiled?

When was the last time that I cried?

Since when was everything a lie?

Since when was everything an act?

But, I still have to do it

I need to be perfect

I need to be the best product

Cause that's how I can be loved

I need to be the person that everyone loves

I think the desire to be loved is something everyone can relate to. It's not always an easy thing to find, but it's certainly easier than chasing perfection. I have found that sometimes, the only definition of "perfect" I truly need to work for is my own, and that it rarely aligns with everyone else's. Thank you for sharing this with us.
