Paper Cranes

Paper Cranes

A Poem by Luna

Blow our soul into the cranes
Let them fly away to their home
Let the cranes bring our pray
Let them end war

Cranes carry peace
Cranes carry longerity
They fly around the world
To find their home

Endless life of cranes
Immortable body
Infent energy for them
Until Sadako's body burns dead

Fold the cranes, give them birth
Take cranes with life
Make them find their hime
Let the find peace.

This is such an emotional tribute to all those innocent people who suffered in the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. I personally feel so upset whenever I read Sadako Sasaki's biography because it's sad when you see an innocent soul that departs from the world for the bad deeds of others. Those paper cranes of peace are not any common symbol, they were the symbols of peace and they were the ones who pleaded with the world to stop the war.

Wonderfully composed, Luna! I admire your work so much!

You're welcome, Luna!
Let us remember all who have died in conflict over the years. The stories are heartbreaking. I remember Sadako with you today. Thank you for this poem Luna. Peace for all.
