War

War

A Poem by Luna

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerer of death's construction

In the fields, the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
They started the war and they turn their bodies

They say, why should we go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their minds
Making war just for fun

Treating people just like pawns in chess
Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where their bodies burning
Satan laughing, spreads his wings

Wow, Luna, what a great poem! "Generals gathered in their masses just like witches at black masses." Those two lines for me just pop out and draw the reader in. And I love the last line about Satan too...it lends the poem an even darker tone.

What is it that they say about war, that it does not determine who is right, only who is left...and that is so true.
Anyway, brilliant poem, absolutely loved it. Well done. :)
