The Seed of a Mustard Tree

The Seed of a Mustard Tree

A Poem by Breezy

The Seed of a Mustard Tree

I watch as a small hole is dug,
And a small seed is placed within.
With a little loving care,
This tiny seed will sprout into a small shoot,
No bigger than my thumb.

That small, insignificant shoot will wiggle and weave,
As it stretches for the sky above.
That tender stalk will burrow its roots down deep,
Gathering strength from the soil and critters that roam beneath.
The green skin grows and cracks,
Hardening itself to the weather outside.
The small shoot is now a sapling.

The sapling begins to branch out,
Searching for new ways to feel the sun.
Its many arms spread wide and far,
Covering as much ground as they can.
This small sapling has now become a full grown tree,
Glorifying God by what it was created to be.

This poem truly describes nature in it pure beautiful form and growth. The words took us step by step the evolution of this plant to tree. Well done and a wonderful journey in art.
