A Poem by Breezy

What’s it like to have Him walking right beside you?

          Is it comforting?

Or is it terrifying knowing He watches your every move?

Do you relax knowing He’s got everything under control?

Or do you panic every time it seems like things have gone wrong?

At night, do you lay awake thinking of life?

Or do you sleep peacefully knowing He’s watching your back?

Do you look over your shoulder?

Or do you trust that He’ll help to keep you from falling prey to the devil?

Is your life reflective of His light?

Or is it shadowed by the world?

Do you tell of His love for you and all mankind?

Or do you hide it because you’re frightened?

Do you shout His name and sing praises?

Or do you whisper and sing in secret?

Do you boast of how He saved you?

Or do you weep knowing He died to save you?

Do you show off by praying elegant prayers?

Or do you pray simple prayers in secret?

Will you anxiously await His arrival?

Or do you dread His coming again?

How do you act in response to Him?

Hello, Breezy! :)
Sweetheartedness is as beautiful a thing as our species has produced, and sweetheartedness is the feeling I get from this writing. I find the topic absurd, because I dont view faith as a virtue, and I enjoy absurdity, but this combination of faith and sweetheartedness makes me sad. Thanks for sharing.

The way you portrayed faith in this form is very lovely as many need to understand that he's always there, so thank you for writing.

This piece tugged at my soul. Questions we must ask ourselves, regardless of faith. There is something rather than nothing and that something should be addressed. I am always impressed when poets extend words into an untraditional realm. What is poetry if not the exploration of thought, a taste of the flavor of existence, you have provided this to the reader here.
