Life is too short, so SMILEA Poem by cassieSome wonderfully silly words in honour of my lovely friend Mr Gary Tennant who I wrote this for to cheer him upLife is too short not to laugh So, crack a smile once, in a
while And never forget to be glad Never sad
It could always be worse We know we’ve already seen it And so, no worries already, As there’s nowhere that we haven’t been
With that in mind Can you please come and save me?
I’m dying slowly of boredom in here! Without the master, the comedy’s
a total disaster. And it’s killing the crowd, one
by one You should see all your fans They’re longing to see you,
perform on the stage you’ve been gifted If some think it’s bad, who
care’s, we’re all mad C’est la vie, C’est la guerre,
mon amie.
There’s no need to fret on stuff
that don’t matter Don’t waste your mind or your
time It’s late and I’ve got a brew on
in Wonderland But
it’s no fun without you at the table
Come
back and join us in Crazy-town again We
all love you, you have to believe me, even the complex amongst us We
are sad that you’ve left us, all the sunshine’s gone with you Come back and make us smile again
Think of the laughter & joy you bring to so many Not the grief that’s been caused by a few They’re jealous you see, it is they who crave our attention Not a man who makes the world seem less cold For that humble jester and fellow sou’wester Has a heart as big as the moon And I’ve heard it said that he’s much more well-read Than the monsters who may live in the stars And although you might know me I might as well tell you I’m persistent if I’m not a lot else I won’t take no for an answer and this will get longer and longer And much worse unless you as I plead!!!
