Dental Fear

Dental Fear

A Story by Cassie Bowles

“Don’t worry, son, the dentist is just as afraid as you are of him” his father spoke in a whisper. “But what if I bite him” the little boy whimpered. “The dentist is train to avoid that” the father smiled. “Joey Creek” the receptionist shouted into the waiting room.
Joey slowly sat in the chair without looking at the dentist, who was smaller than him. “Go ahead and open wide, Joey” The Dentist, Dr. Thump, commanded. Joey did what he was told.
Joey’s mouth has been hurting since his father brought the deer home after a hunting trip. “Oh, I see the problem” Dr. Thump spoke in a whispered as his rabbit paw went into the wolf’s mouth to get a bit of a deer’s bone stuck in between two blood stained teeth.
