Invisible

Invisible

A Poem by Cassie

Why can no one find me?
While I’m trying so hard to be found.
Screaming and shouting at the top of my lungs.
I see them, but I must be invisible.

Wandering 'round for days,
Crying and sobbing for someone
To really see me, to find me,
To save me from this wretched world.

Dark and lonely stretches of time,
When it seems that the whole world’s blind.
No one able to see me,
No even searching for me.

One bleak and senseless night
Someone finally sees me.
They see my pain, and see my scars.
Perhaps at last, I am to be found.

They come and rescue me from this cruel world.
A world not touched by light,
A world that no one lives in,
But where everyone eventually goes.

A world where the people go,
When they are no longer seen.
A world where the invisible are
Trying to be heard.
