Curtain CallA Poem by J StylezUnderstanding when something is at an end and learning to except it no matter how hard it may be.It seems, my dear, the time has come to dance to our last tune The party is over and the music has stopped, the sun is rising soon We had a run, the two of us, good times we once did share With heavy heart and eyes of glass bad news we now must bare Our destinies no longer linked, into darkness we must ride Though scary as the trip may be, with this I can confide You still believe there’s need for me, finding solace in my talk But I can no longer hold your hand; you are strong enough to walk As much as we both tried to kid we knew this day would come And that there would be nothing left an end to summer fun I understood when first we met this union could not last Don’t cry for me in present tense for I’ve become your past Instead play out the final scene and end it with a smile And watch the curtain sweep to a close; it’s final graceful mile Our chapter is done, the book is closed; forever rest where it my fall The lights are up; let’s take our bows, the final curtain call © 2010 J StylezAuthor's Note
