BlockA Poem by J StylezSomething we all experienceA world of color So vivid and alive It pours like a waterfall Cascading over the weather worn stones of my mind Nightmares and dreams seem to blend harmoniously Casting a much needed warmth into the darkness And bring shadow to an absolute light In the space between rages a war Dragons and heroes battle satire and love An eternal struggle for the rite of passage into our moral world To the victor: Immortality waits Their tell to be scrolled on the pages of history Now and forever But, one being so wicked would stand to prevent such an act A beast with many names yet no soul It devours all the stands in its way Leaving only a glimmer of life that could have been With no respect of person It eats without being full Once it is let loose there is nothing that can be done Only oblivion waits those that oppose it When it has past can you start to mend The destruction left in wake is terrible A prison few has ever escaped I am one of those unfortunate few The beast has come for me And my mind is weak My weapon too heavy for my hand to hold Gone are the colors The nightmares and the dreams I reside in my living prison My tomb My block © 2010 J StylezAuthor's Note
