The Strange In Today's SocietyA Poem by CashTheWriterToday as I was walking
to the store A little boy was
walking home from school with his little brother I notice that he was
afraid of me, but I didn’t understand why I didn’t understand why
he was acting as if I was a killer I didn’t understand why
he was acting as if I was out to get him And lastly I didn’t
understand why he kept looking at me so strangely As I kept my steady
pace of walking behind him he began to walk faster, and faster I then decided to cross
the street because I didn’t want the little boy to fear me As I was walking on the
other side of the street he began to stare at me even harder So I decided to stare
at him, trying to figure out what he was thinking. As I snapped out of my
daydreaming he began to sprint, taking off faster then 100mph I was amazed, truly As I stepped into the store
I realized that I had forgotten what I was at the store for So I just left Went home empty handed,
but that was the least of my problems I still had a weird
dilemma that needed to be solved or else I wouldn’t get any sleep The scene of the little
boy grabbing his little brother’s hand and running of f so fast played over
repeatedly in my head Who was that little
boy? What did he want from
me? What did he have
against me? A stranger to him… A Pedestrian just
walking to the store not bothering anyone… The only reasons I
could think of as an excuse to why he was terrified of me was because either he
was trying to protect his little brother or he just thought I was stalking and
or following him… I don’t know, and I
probably never will but I do wish him and his little brother good luck. © 2011 CashTheWriter |
