These Walls of Mine

These Walls of Mine

A Poem by Heromen Selena

I see you walking in the halls

And go straight to your girl by the wall

You kiss her on the nose and cheek

Just the same as every single week

I remember when you use to do that

Only it was to me and not her

But now we don't even do more than chat

And cracks break my heart now and after

I hide from you and try to forget what you did

But it keeps coming back

I force it down in a jar and lock the lid

And stuff it in my pack

So you will never see what you've done to me

Even though it pains me to hold it inside

I do this always so that I might be free

And so that I will no longer have to hide

Behind these walls of mine.
