What Will You Do?

This is a poem about what is left behind after being broken-hearted and going into another relationship.

Serpent Sleeps

Cat whispers

A twist and turn

From aching dream

Sweat Slips

A bead upon my lip

To be traced away

You make your mark

Index finger Pen

 

Either way

It’s you, you, you

Draw upon the slate

Or Erase

One swipe

A breath away

To take

Leave behind

All that’s left

Soft Apricot pie
