A Place In My Mind

Written: 2005 I wrote this when I was in high school

I go to a place that no one would know

A place where all of my thoughts and dreams will go

A place that's familiar and a comfort to me

A place where no one else could ever be

I hide in the clouds of a deep blue sky

In the greenest of field I walk and I lie

On a sunny summer beach I will sit in the sand

A walk through the forest of no man's land

The places I go are in my mind

The journey is never too long or hard to find

I've always found my mind to be the most troublesome place to visit.. One which I try hard to avoid if I can... But that all depends on how you want it to be..

When I used to meditate, I would close my eyes and picture walking into this room with a big red chair. It was surrounded by sweet smelling flowers and there was a nice shag rug under my feet.

I think we all go somewhere to soul search, whether it be in our minds or somewhere outside we know is serene. I like your poem.
