Why?A Story by forfilarant on what were current events
So I start to talk about nothing, you know when two or three of you just kick back and rant about whatever and however. Did you see the news? Full fledged Victory celebrations in Lebanon for the returned prisoners. I don't know whether they are celebrating their safe return or just claiming a self righteous achievement over Israel. I mean, would there even be reason to cheer or claim a win in the battle if the Israeli troops were not returned in black boxes of minimal respect, then it would have just been a trade off. So again I ask, What is it that serves them the need to celebrate these heroes. It was a touching moment to see a man who from the age of 16 was locked away for thirty years be reunited with comrades and fellow Lebanese in such a parade, but I feel the parade is celebrating the pain and loss of Israel at least in equivalence to returned service men. That to me is racist and I do not like to see these ideologies spread among younger generations who have a chance at peace. Hezzbulah are in a unique position, a group that exists as known freedom fighters running along side and as part of a full democratic government, my advice to them is if P.R is propaganda and this is a global jihad, hate should not be a message conveyed because (call me what you like but) love will always win. Yes celebrate the troops return, yes feel proud and stand tall for your achievements but no don't flush the hard work by showing poor motive and direction. © 2008 forfilaFeatured Review
